Whew, something I don't have to look up and research. This is Hwy 89 as it goes toward St Mary. The burn on the left is from the 35,000 acres or so Red Eagle Fire of 2006. You are looking west toward St Mary Lake. The 3 peaked mountain on your left is Red Eagle. The two horns at the end of the lake are Fusillade on the left and Reynolds on the right. In front and sticking up the highest on the right is Going to The Sun Mtn.
You can see why our Plan A turned into a Plan B which eventually became Plan C.
