You see, I think these are more what I call daisy like because of their petals which I think are different from my earlier photo of fleabanes and fleabanes generally have many more petals: http://hikearizona.com/photo=364574. There are 23,000 species of asters, YIKES! Of course I just now found a plant called: Coastal Fleabane Aster. Go figure.
The best identifier is looking at the back of the flower to see how the green bracts grow--basicly they are all the same length in this Fleabane. Asters have overlapping bracts like roof-shingles.
