This was pretty disconcerting, a 3 foot, 60+ pound clump of Sotol (Dasylirion leiophyllum I believe) that was laying on the trail on the way down. This wasn't here on the way up, so the wind must have uprooted it and thrown it down. Glad I wasn't there at the time...
