On the WOR trail, this group or dense dog hair pine will soon choke the open view, unless human or fire change that. Really, a group of concerned hikers and some small hand saws and loppers, could correct this, but there are so many of these groups of dense regen. Spaced about 10 to 12 feet apart, would at least give 600 to 500 trees per acre. If these could survive, withouth stagnating, they're somewhere over 2,000 per acre. Pre-settlement stands tended to under 80, more often 40 to 60 per acre.
