The little Kootenai Falls as the river flows around an island. The power and volume and flow of the water was quite loud.

Precambrian Era: The rocks pictured on the opposite side of the river were deposited approximately 1.5 billion years ago, when shallow seas and lakes with flat shores covered the region.
They were deposited in thin layers of mud, sand and calcium carbonate.
