The lake is inhabited by the native bull trout and cutthroat trout, as well as the non-native lake trout, yellow perch, and lake whitefish. It is also reportedly inhabited by

the infamous Flathead Lake Monster, which we were ascared of as kids when we swam at my Aunt's place in Woods Bay just down the road from here. We would jump off this huge snag and hope the monster wouldn't get us. Surprisingly I can't at the moment find any pics of the snag so I will try to dig one up to post. I do have video of folks jumping off the snag from 2010.
