Approaching the Navajo uranium adit. It was originally located by Alfred Haught in 1954. The mine shaft was dug 26 feet into the cliff face in 1955. Insufficient uranium was found to justify further development of this mine. We would later find the name, Alfred Haught, on a 1967 claim document in a glass jar hidden in a claim location monument (cairn) about 1.5 miles upstream.
