We found this 1967 mining claim document in a glass jar hidden in a claim location monument not far from the campsite shown in the previous photo. Of interest was that it named the builder of the homestead cabin using the cabin as a reference for the claim location. The homesteader's name appears to be Art Manuel. Also one of the two Alfred Haughts who signed the document is probably the same Alfred H. who filed the first claim in 1954 for the Navajo uranium adit about 1.5 miles downstream.
