Drove past this "lake" on my way to an area on the rim called Lake Pocket. There was several areas along the rim east of here labeled as "pockets" including Lonesome Pocket, Limestone Pocket and Deadman Pocket. All appear to be worthy of exploration but I only had time for a short hike at Lake Pocket where I camped for the night.
