and this is what we saw thru Dr. Sky's telescope on Saturday nite: the Andromeda Galaxy (2.5 million light-years) from Earth. It is the nearest major galaxy to the Milky Way.

The laser star/planet/galaxy show was outstanding as well. They are also building a trail out at LDSP showing the distances between the sun and moon and such. Dr. Sky does these presentations from time to time out there; definitely worth the price of admission; the park fee.
