A. phillipsiana. Easy to spot with its widely-spaced paniculate (branching) stalk. There are 5 agave species in the canyon: Three of them have straight (spicate) stalks (utah, kaibab, schottii) and 2 have branching stalks (parryi and phillipsiana). Parryi differs from ap with its short, wide leaves.
