Continued across the hill side to Lewis Spring. A small lone cottonwood indicated there is some moisture here but I did not see any running water or any sign that it had a watering trough for cattle. It is most likely named for John Lewis who homesteaded the property known as the 6L Ranch in the early 1900s.
