View north from the N 20th St entrance to the Cline Creek area of this southwest corner of the Tonto National Forest. There are two fairly well known Indian ruin sites visible in this panorama. The largest ruins which includes a multi-room pueblo style ruin and a hilltop fortress type ruin is on the left (west) in this photo and is commonly called the Cline Creek Ruin. My destination on this hike is the hilltop fortress ruin on the right (east) in this photo which sometimes is also referred to as the Cline Creek Ruin. I chose to call them Cline Creek West and Cline Creek East.
