I got within about 20 yds of a large Bull Elk grazing in the bottom of Dane Canyon at this location. He had walked out of sight behind a cliff jutting out into the canyon as I approached without seeing me. So I got my camera out and tip toed around the edge of the cliff wall to find him staring at me. He was gone before I could focus the camera and snap a photo.
