It was a lot slower hiking up Dane Canyon because of more brush and fallen trees. At this point it looked to be getting worse and I was running out of time and patience. Fortunately there was an elk trail leading up the side of the canyon through a break in the cliff to the top of the ridge. So I bailed out of Dane and took the old road on top of the ridge to the U-Bar Trail
