One of our group, Chris, almost stepped on this rattlesnake during our lunch stop on Day 2. It was cold that day so the snake didn't have much energy. He could barely vibrate his rattle so Chris didn't hear him. We encountered one more rattlesnake at our camp on Day 4. I was the lucky guy who almost stepped on him as he slithered through the grass when I was walking from the tent area to the beach.
