The wreck -- or at least a plaque that says "site of" -- the West Point C-47 has been found by a guy named Glen, who was following my description, got off track and bumped into it. It is located at the top of the gully route above Sawmill Flat. He did not have a GPS, so I gleaned the lat/long from the .jpg's Exif data and posted here with his permission.
