a couple more nice switchbacks and we will have tackled "The Big Hill" that rises 700 feet from the wash in a mile and three quarters. I told the girls it was the equivalent of a Shaw Butte only with 1/2 mile extra to do the 700 feet. Somehow with that heavy pack on that we just filled with water and the two beers Tracy was carrying, it seemed twice that!
