Some handiwork with a chain saw to clear the trail. Evidence of much older brush cutting indicates that this trail had been used for many years. We decided to leave the trail for a later exploration and continued our loop around the south edge of the mesa. The next day I hiked down this trail and determined that it was a ranching trail to provide easy access for cattle to reach the top of the mesa.
