Stop along 287 at the mine. On my third day I stopped at the mine to see if they give tours. They don't usually but I have a number to call. The dirt on the jeep all came from the road along the mine,the rest of the road wasn't too bad. By the third day the mud was about 2 inches thick on the running board.
