My Uncle Bud was a sailor in 1944-46. He was trained in San Diego 12-1944. I thot it would be fun to take this photo of him from 1984 (he was quite proud that he could still fit in his uniform) next to the Midway. He served aboard an LST. The Midway did not serve in WWII. [ youtube video ] FYI My Uncle Bud was a videoographer (sp?) as well as my parents and my Uncle Gus. Sadly when they moved Uncle Bud to a Senior Center they threw out all his movies. Very sad!
