After I hung my food bag I turned around to see this guy cutting across the meadow. Called out to the bear as I was down wind of him but he didn't seem to be concerned with me. The bear circled my campsite twice and closed within 25 to 30 yards but no woofing or signs of aggression (that I could tell) and no repeat visits. This is my first encounter with a bear on the rim and he was definitely a looker with his beautiful brown/cinnamon coat. Apologies for the mega-zoomed cell phone pic...
