. . . a look deeper showed a scenic treasure, with rocky shorelines, coastal forests and open grasslands, offering (on a cold winter day) a bit of solitude from the urban cacophony. Here we look north, and the eastern shore, south of the beach proper, as the sun rises putting a golden sheen on rock and tree.
