I zoomed in, trying to focus on one of the little frogs. This wren photobombed, flew away, and came back. Certainly not shy, along with a loud chirp. Recorded, and it came back "Almost Certain" for Cactus Wren. I've known they are common but had no clue what they looked like or sounded like. Now I know the feathers look like the end grain of sawed cedar, and they have the white bandit stripe above the eye. Hopefully, by typing all this crap, I'll remember. It was somewhat cool recognizing the call of a black-throated sparrow earlier in the hike, which was the first I learned by sound at Piestewa.
