I couldn't resist putting this photo in--a macro shot of our favorite backpacking recipe. "No Bake Powerhouse Cookies". The recipe is 1/4 cup each of oatmeal, chocolate chips, brown sugar, pecans, dry milk or flour, nut butter of your choice (peanut, almond, cashew, etc.), marshmallows, and oil/water. Mix it all in pan over medium heat till chocolate and marshmallows are melted. Form into cookies and wait 10 minutes to allow for set up. Cooler temperatures help set up, as does the additional surface area of a flatter cookie. Enjoy!
