West Bear Canyon, 2½ miles west, is signed "26" or "28". East Bear Canyon, only a mile west, is signed "88". The first digit here was originally a "3", then had a "6" placed over it. (I could tell by paint / sticker depth.) Not sure about the second digit: Maybe a "9"? In any case, signs numbered out of sequence, west-to-east.
