"Chasing Wildflowers and Waterfalls:" On another occasion when I visited this waterfall in Castle Creek Wilderness, I wanted to get closer to the actual falls, and to do so, I had to bushwhack my way through the actual creek, filled with very thorny branches, boulders, and deep pools of water in certain sections, before finally being able to climb out on the opposite side, at which point I was thankfully greeted with wonderful yellow and purple and blue wildflowers framing the view to the falls and the creek below. A very tall saguaro cactus stands to the right. I wonder if it is still standing or if the fire from earlier this year completely marred this whole area. Once again, I was glad to capture what I did the previous year. Thanks again to Joe Bartels and Joel Hazelton for information as I researched making the trips.
