at the saddle looking southwest. Obviously lots of blooming brittlebush. Believe it or not, the elevation here is the same as the McDowell Sonoran Preserve North and there, you don't have to hike uphill to get the elevation. We were lucky that we had a nice breeze on the way up and of course, the temp was a little cooler since we were out of the canyon.
