The precarious summit, which has a slight overhang with severe exposure on the south side, is reminiscent of the curled peak where The Grinch Who Stole Christmas calls home. Along the jagged ridge top, several other impressive high points reach to the sky. Expansive boulder fields litter multiple flanks of the mountain, constant reminders that the terrain in this stretch of northern Montana is forever in flux. The mountain is a geologic wonder, with numerous rock formations, each donning a distinct color and texture, scattered about the crumbling slopes.
