A fence across the top of the ridge "blocks" cattle access to the end of the ridge and Peak 5344. Grasshopper and I didn't see this gate when we attempted this hike on Oct 14, 2022, and had to crawl under the barbed wire. Looks like this gate has been open and in disrepair for many years. The project to fix it got as far as hauling up this roll of barb wire for the repairs. Cattle had recently been up here and conveniently made trails that led me down the steep slope to that peak.
