With probably more dead trees than alive in some areas out here, deadfall will always be a constant on these trails. These trees are all suffering from the rust bug that is so common throughout the Bitterroots and beyond. There are more acres of dead and drying trees throughout Montana and Idaho than we probably have of alive and healthy trees down here in AZ.
