We left the Buzzards Roost homestead area (see pic 38) around 6:10pm and it took me until 7:50pm to reach this location on Hwy 288 close to the Armer Mountain TH; We had done some semi-serious 4x4ing this day without incident; On Hwy 288 about 15 minutes before dark I run over something serious in the middle of the road and almost immediately hear that dreaded hissing sound
I had not changed a flat on my Grasshopper for a few years and was pretty rusty at it and so were all my needed accessories to fix it; I first tried 3 plugs.. no! Next my bottle jack..no! Last resort was my difficult to remove high-lift jack (farm jack as nonot calls it) which I had problems with.. but finally it came through. We left this location at around 9:15pm for Globe- Judy's Cook House for dinner at 10:45pm and not home until 1am;
