My original plan was to do the popular Bowman-Kintla Loop but after extensive research, decided to go with what I thot was the prettier hike up Boulder Pass Trail as an out and back from Goat Haunt. Plus the logistics were easier. And yes, it was smoky for a lot of the time we were in the Park. And would get smokier as another big fire would start this nite over by Lake McDonald.
