such a fabulous looking plants that we saw a few of on our hike. However, I can't come up with an affirmative ID. So this is what I have so far: Salvia dorrii, the purple sage, Dorr's sage, fleshy sage, mint sage, or tobacco sage, is a perennial spreading shrub in the family Lamiaceae.
