There was a paved path to Kaibab and then a solid use trail that went along the edge to Yaki. It was my first time visiting Yaki. Kind of the forgotten step child along the southern rim. Not sure why the rim trail doesn’t officially extend to it. Continued past Yaki for a short ways and connected to the Shoshone mule trail that goes along the rim. We didn’t go far on this trail, but we could see Shoshone vista off in the distance. We returned back to Yaki Point and then took the shuttle back to the car. Nice morning hike with the wife and a nice way to loosen the legs after the Canyon. |
