I have been up to the peak three other times via Coleman Road, from which access is now denied. This area is rich in modern and native artifacts, as well as being just plain beautiful! We had hoped to get to the mines below the main ridge, but didn't make them this day. The route to the summit follows an ancient pack trail, reminiscent of the one up Newman Peak. On top there is evidence that a tower once stood, so I'm guessing there may have been an airways beacon there too. |
