I didn't plan on summitting for two reasons. First, the upper part is technical, and also 7000 ft of AEG to get there and back.
I wanted to reach the climber's camp and ascend as far past there as I could given time, conditions, and energy level.
The summit(s) were in the clouds, so I never got a good view of them or other nearby peaks. I did get beyond the climber's camp. I turned around where I could see the first patch of snow. I was wet, tired, and a half hour past my turn around time.
Beautiful hike. Will return sometime. Maybe camp at Lena Lake, making the hike to The Brothers quite a bit shorter. |
