Woke up in Palm Springs on our way to the coast and thought that it'd gonna be good to see something in the area. Took Indian Canyons and Tahquitz Canyon brochures in the motel lobby and chose where to go based on the cover picture and entrance fees: Indian Canyons won.
Our first stop was Andreas Canyon. Parked near picnic area on the left bank (before crossing the bridge) and headed to the trail. This half of the loop goes right along the creek that forms the beautiful oasis of fan palms and other riparian vegetation. There was plenty of water in the creek when we visited.
About half a mile in the trail reached the fenced border with Andreas Canyon Club property, crossed the creek and went back slightly above the oasis providing another point of view and finally reached the end of one of two large parking lots on the right bank of the creek.
