Easter day hike with my dog. Cannot recall all the details, but parked in lot off of Espola Rd. around N 33° 01.043 W 117° 01.486. Followed Green Valley Truck Trail west and then north to the dam. Once at the top, I hiked all the way to the gate at the top of the lake. Hike was easy going pretty much until the middle section where you got a good incline. Views from the top were nice and very flat along the wide trail to the west of lake. With the exception of the first part of hike in the trees (~1.5 miles), you're totally exposed to elements with some nice breeze at/near top (hopefully) |
