:wrt: What do I say. Such a difference from AZ hikes. Didn't know what to do with running water everywhere. Short and sweet then on this amazing trip.

Not ready for the first few butt kicking miles Altitude and steepness just about made me quit :o But I played the tortoise and made it to campsite 1 at the confluence of Johnson & Vallecito Creek.

Day two made it to Columbine Lake but altitude wasn't being kind so I dropped 1500ft to camp the night.

Day 3 was all down hill & I was starting to find my legs. Stopped to camp at Bridge 2 to swim & relax.

Day 4 was quite sad as I was feeling strong and enjoying the cool weather. Awesome just Awesome

Will be back next year.

water 1 out of 5water 2 out of 5water 3 out of 5water less than max Johnson Creek Medium flow Medium flow
To this Arizona boy it was flowing more than the Salt River in summer

water 1 out of 5water 2 out of 5water 3 out of 5water 4 out of 5 Vallecito Creek Heavy flow Heavy flow
Bigger than the Salt River in Summer
