Most of the other people I saw were backpackers going counterclockwise from Salmon Creek, but I did talk to two people from the Ventana Wilderness Alliance. The VWA is a truly wonderful organization that provides a lot of manpower to keep trails in the Ventana and Silver Peak Wilderness areas safe and enjoyable.
I had had my eye on this trail for a long time, and am extremely pleased to have knocked it out. The Big Sur area fascinates me for so many reasons, and I plan on visiting again.
