We camped at Vermillion Campground in a couple of adjacent sites for our large group, played bocce, boozed it, ate too much and had way too much fun.
This general area got burned in the massive Creek Fire which is still active on the north side of Edison Lake. Luckily the fire doesn't seem to be burning up to Devils Bathtub. We left a day early which caused us to miss a hellacious rain storm that rolled into the area right after we left on Sunday afternoon. Totally a good call because the road from Huntington Lake to Edison Lake is mostly very difficult. |
