later start... lower energy day for Kim. Decided to check out a ridge/canyon hike I intended to save for this winter. It was nice, but I should have waited; the heat made for a not so nice hike for Kim. Interesting canyon descent... thought it might make for a nice beginner's introduction hike to canyoneering, but it proved just a bit too iffy. Oh, well...

Combined TRW Loop Trail and Dry Canyon Trail. Waterfall is running, but you can't see its whole height because one side view is obstructed by a rock and another one by a canyon slope. Strange thing that all sources, including trail signs, list Dry Canyon trail length as 1.2 mi RT (0.6 mi one way), but after 0.4 mi into the canyon it meets the gully where there's no more further trail neither up, nor down, nor across.
