Took the family out on this trail to enjoy the spring weather. The views of the Flatirons are very nice. The first mile of this hike is fully exposed, so it might be rough on hot summer days. However the trees provide much welcome shade after that. The trail system goes back further, but on this day we opted to loop back.

Revisited this area with Andrea, Ben, and YC. It was nice to climb these routes without having it rain on us! I ended up getting three routes in between Der Zerkle and Red Devil. They were decent, with Paradise Lost (Red Devil, 5.9) being my favorite.

This is a nice area, and not too busy during the week. Weekends seem to bring out a few more people, but with pretty much every other crag in Colorado being right next to the road, it stays rather low-key.

Went up to Der Zerkle for climbing. Wasn't feeling it, as the knee still was unhappy. I did get on one climb there, to clean it. Rain, thunder, and lightning began while I was halfway up. Not sure what the climb was -- may have been a 5.9 or 5.10. Oh, Colorado and your ridiculous sudden weather... settle down already!
