| partners | | | On our last day in Canyonland National Park we drove out to Grandview Point. The views were great from this point but someone told us to back track on the road and take the trail that heads east off the mesa for spectacular views. I was calling this the Grandview Trail but it actually is the Gooseberry Trail. They were right, probably the best views in the park. From here you can see all of Canyonland South (Canyonland south of the Colorado River). Canyon Land is actually divided into three sections North of the Colorado, South of the Colorado and West of the Green River north of Colorado River. No roads lead to the other sections of the park within the park. What ever this trail is called it is an easy 1 mile walk to a point overlooking Canyonland east and south. |
