Beautiful area, the high Sierra may still be buried in snow but the medium Sierra is fabulous, green and wet. Hike starts in dense forest but quickly climbs up to big open views along Granite Lake and over to Grouse Lake. From Grouse I continued west to drop down to Summit City Creek (not recommended, heavy bushwhack and/or Class 3 slabs required), then returned along what I believe is Evergreen Trail 18E21 (or maybe Camp Irene 18E13) to Upper Blue Lake for a nice loop. Had to do some extra road walking as the road to Upper Blue Lake was closed at Lower Blue Lake.
