Hike starts in dense forest but quickly climbs up to big open views along Granite Lake and over to Grouse Lake. From Grouse I continued west to drop down to Summit City Creek (not recommended, heavy bushwhack and/or Class 3 slabs required), then returned along what I believe is Evergreen Trail 18E21 (or maybe Camp Irene 18E13) to Upper Blue Lake for a nice loop. Had to do some extra road walking as the road to Upper Blue Lake was closed at Lower Blue Lake. |
