Great time of year to visit. Medano Creek was flowing. Weather was such that the sand didn't get hot and it was comfortable hiking in bare feet all day. We rented sand sleds and a sand board. My experiment on the sand board resulted in a sore tail bone and a tweaked shoulder that may or may not require some medical attention. So, we eventually just stuck to the sand sleds, which were quite fun!
Made it up to High Dune and sledded our way back. |
