Flew out to Denver to climb my first 14er. My recent injury had me questioning my ability to summit this mountain, given the elevation and rough terrain. I was fine. In fact, the two of us made better time than I had anticipated. Conditions were great at the beginning, then rain about half way up, and eventually snow at the summit which blocked our view of the surrounding Holy Cross Wilderness. According to my Garmin, we topped out at 14,048ft.
