Day 1 of a 3-day Anza-Borrego trip to avoid the nasty winter storm back in AZ. :GB: I hiked up to San Ysidro last winter so this winter I decided to hike up atop Indianhead peak across the way. Beautiful & rugged area that I've been to 3 winters in a row now. :) I headed up Palm Canyon pass a few groves of palms to where the canyon narrowed up a bit before climbing up one of the northern side canyons and then up one of the ridges when I hit a dry fall. Once up at the saddle, it was fairly straight forward to hike up the spine of the mountain to Indianhead. Great views as always! :D I returned the way I came when I was done soaking them in. I hit the local pub for a juicy burger afterwards before heading south to the Agua Caliente campground where I soaked in the hot springs. :y:
