I posted the GPS separate from the Summit Trail for an alternate way to hike up the mountain from Rock City (only mine was top down). I actually found this way to be a little more scenic and the trail and surroundings are much nicer. You're likely to encounter more people as the trail passes through Juniper Campground before climbing 1.1 miles to the top.

Juniper Campground is a great little campground on the hillside that offers spectacular views of the bay from your own site! I believe they are $30 per night.
